Narragansett Ordinance - Rubbish and garbage storage and disposal:
The property owner or his (local rental) agent shall be responsible for the supply, maintenance and cleanliness of adequate and separate rubbish and garbage storage containers approved as to type and location. The occupant shall be responsible for the removal of all rubbish and garbage from the rental property and the storage of such waste in a clean and sanitary manner by placing it in the required containers with lids.
Notes:
- If creatures get into the garbage, it must be cleaned up immediately.
- Rental properties - The Town recommends one (1) trash container for each individual staying at the premises.
- Trash and trash containers must not be placed at the curb before the evening prior to the scheduled pickup, and must be stored by the end of the day of pickup.
- Do NOT place unwanted appliances, furniture or other large objects at the curb unless you have scheduled a special pickup, and then only on the day of the scheduled pickup. Your neighbors DO NOT want your discarded junk!
