1.
Guests must be accompanied by a Briggs Farm property owner who is a member in good-standing of the Briggs Farm Improvement Association
2.
Hours of Operation: 9:00AM - Dusk.
3.
Speed Limit on the beach and marina roads is 5 MPH.
4.
Swimming is allowed only within the roped off beach area.
-   Please Note: No lifeguards are ever on duty-swim at your own risk.
-   Boats and personal watercraft are not allowed in swimming area.
-   Kayaks, prams and skiffs may be launched from the sandy beach area while exercising extreme caution. These vessels must not linger inside the swimming area.
-   No swimming is allowed from the docks or boat ramp.
5.
Parents are responsible for their children at all times. Children under thirteen (13) years of age must be accompanied by an adult.
6.
Throwing any dangerous items on or around the beach or marina area is prohibited.
7.
No “horse playing” is allowed in or on the Porta John.
8.
Pets are not allowed on the beach proper (sand and grass area). Owners must pickup after their pets and dispose of waste in trash cans.
9.
Shell fishing (clamming or digging for steamers) is prohibited per order of the DEM.
10.
Discarding of any trash into the water, including shells and fish scraps, is prohibited by the town of Narragansett.
11.
Docks are ‘off-limits’ for everyone except boat owners assigned to slips and members of their boating party for the sole purpose of accessing their boats.
12.
No loud noise (music, etc.) is allowed. Fireworks are strictly prohibited.
13.
Personal property left on beach is subject to removal and disposal.
14.
No open fires are permitted, except those contained in a suitable grill for cooking purposes only. Properly dispose of charcoal from fires.
15.
Food scraps and related trash must not be placed in the trash receptacles as they draw unwanted creatures. Please take those items with you.
16.
Motorized vehicles are not permitted on the beach (sand or grass areas).
17.
Camping on the beach and in marina area is prohibited. .
18.
No vehicles are permitted in the Beach or Marina area after closing except for members with boats assigned to a slip to access their boat.
19.
No electrical connections to the association storage shed are allowed. No extension cords are to run on the docks as this presents a safety hazard.
20.
Water spigots are not to be used for washing cars or other wasteful purposes. Hoses must be shut-off and rewound after use.
21.
Personal and Association property is not to be disturbed or used without the consent of the owner(s).
22.
Groups in excess of ten (10) are considered private parties, requiring prior board approval, which includes payment of any fee, subject to the following:
 Use of the beach for a private party requires prior approval of the board. An Application for Special Use of the Briggs Farm Improvement Association  Beach Area (Private Function Application and Lliability Waver) form is obtainable from the Beach Chair person or web site Click Here, and must be completed and submitted to the Beach Chair person with a check 48 hours prior to the event.
 Groups must comply with association rules. The association member hosting the private party is responsible for the actions of all guests.
 The liability waiver form must be signed.
 A damage/clean-up deposit of fifty dollars ($50.00) is required.
 Refuse must be removed and the beach / marina area must be restored to its original condition
 The private party must not prevent other Briggs Farm Improvement Association members from using the facilities.

Beach Rules and Regulations

The Briggs Farm Improvement Association, as holder of the deed of the Beach and Marina area, has jurisdiction in all matters pertaining to these areas. Only property owners in Briggs Farm who are members in good standing of Briggs Farm Improvement Association have the right to use the Beach and Marina Facility, also known as the Beach Lot, so long as they comply with such rules and regulations as shall be imposed from time to time by the Association for the use and operation of said lot. These rules and regulations have been adopted by the Briggs Farm Improvement Association Board.
