INFORMATION FOR RENTERS IN BRIGGS FARM

RENTERS TAKE NOTICE:

 

The Briggs Farm beach, marina, picnic area, boat docks, parking area, kayak racks, kayaks, canoes, boats - are all PRIVATE PROPERTY.

 

The Briggs Farm Improvement Association (BFIA) owns this property and only Members in Good Standing are permitted to enter and use this property. 

 

Only Property Owners are eligible for Membership and like memberships to most Country Clubs, membership in the BFIA cannot be transferred or extended to include Renters, Friends of members of Extended families of members.

 

If your landlord told you that you could use this property, he has not been truthful and you will be escorted off the property. By the police if necessary.

 

All vehicles on the property must prominently display a BFIA supplied Hang-Tag, registered to that vehicle.  Vehicles without tags are subject to towing at the owners expense.

 

All boats, kayaks, canoes, prams, trailers and other property stowed or docked on this property has been allotted a specific, assigned location.  Any property not assigned will be confiscated or discarded.

 

The property is patrolled and continuously monitored by Video Surveillance.

 

The Narragansett Police are aware of the private nature of this property and will be dispatched.  Trespassers may be charged.

 

 

So What Should you do Now?

 

There are many public locations for a renter to enjoy while staying in Narragansett wihout imposing on Private Property.

 

Public Beaches - State Beaches Scarborough, Sand Hill Cove, East Matunik, Roger Wheeler, Salty Brine, Narragansett Town Beach

 

Public Kayak launching - Narrow River, Sprague Bridge, and numerous other places.

 

Public Boat Launching - Galilee, Narragansett Pier, Marine Park

 

Sea-side walking, jogging - Narragansett Sea Wall or any of the beaches. 

 

Biking - there is a local bike trail - The South County Bike Path . (click on the name for more information).

 

Walk your dog - Narragansett Sea Wall, Briggs Farm streets, Clark Road to Scarborough.  There is also the Wakefield Dog Park
